About F2PMMO and How We Rank F2P MMOs

What F2PMMO is

F2PMMO is a community site for free-to-play MMO players. We rank F2P MMOs with live data, list the biggest F2P MMO Discords, and host player reviews, videos, screenshots and maps. Members earn VOID points for taking part.

The site is run by a small team of MMO players. Our editors write list introductions, blurbs and guides; the community's votes and activity decide the order.

How the Power score works

Every F2P MMO on the Best F2P MMOs list gets a Power score out of 100. It blends four signals: community rating (40%), activity on the site this week (20%), fairness, meaning how little money buys (25%), and how often the game updates (15%).

Equal scores are split by activity this week, then followers, then votes. The arrows on each list show movement since Monday.

Staff scores and community votes

A new game has no votes, so our staff give it a starting score. Once enough members have rated it, the community's ratings take over. Every list says when a game is still ranked on the staff score.

The pay-to-win meter

Everyone who rates a game also places its shop on a five-step meter: Cosmetic only, Convenience, Time skips, Power for sale and Pay-to-win. The badge on each game is the average. The Least Pay-to-Win F2P MMOs list ranks the fairest first.

Player and Discord counts

Steam player counts come from Steam's public player count, checked about once an hour. Discord member counts come from Discord's public invite details, checked every few hours. Both cover only what those services report.
