Editorial Policy
Rankings can't be bought
No game, studio or publisher can pay for a place on any list. The order comes from community ratings, activity and the other signals described on our About page.
Editor's picks are labelled
Our editors can pin a game to the top of a list, for example a game we are spotlighting. Pinned games are marked Editor's pick, and everything below them follows the live data.
Spotlights are labelled
Members can spend VOID points to put a video in a homepage spotlight. Those spots are marked as spotlights and never affect rankings.
Who writes what
Our editors write list introductions, game blurbs and guides. Reviews are written by members and published under their names. Staff scores are a starting point that community votes replace.
Official images
Screenshots marked official, and most game covers and banners, come from each game's own store page on Steam or the Epic Games Store, and every game page says which. They belong to the people who make the game. Videos and screenshots from members are labelled with their names.
