About
The original massively multiplayer sandbox, running since September 24, 1997. Britannia has no classes: you raise any mix of skills by using them, craft and trade in a player-run economy, own a house, tame creatures, and fight monsters or other players.
Developed by Origin Systems and today by Broadsword, published by Electronic Arts. Play with a monthly subscription, or for free with the restricted Endless Journey accounts introduced in 2018.
Much of the player base today plays on community-run free servers, each its own world with its own rules and map. See the Servers tab.
